Who I work with
You don't need a diagnosis, or a single big incident, to get in touch. Many people come after years of exposure, or after one call that won't leave them.
Police officers and staff
Serving, retired and on restricted duties, on the front line or in the control room.

Ambulance, fire and rescue
For crews and call handlers who carry the aftermath of what they attend, and rarely get time to put it down.

Armed forces and veterans
Serving and former personnel are welcome. If your difficulties are combat-related, we talk through the right approach first.

What people often bring
Counselling
A steady place to talk through what has happened and what it has left behind, at your pace. Nothing is rushed, and you decide what we cover. My approach is pluralistic, so I draw on different ways of working to suit you. I'll listen to you fully, and together we'll find the best way forward.
EMDR
EMDR is a structured, trauma-focused therapy. NICE recommends it for adults with PTSD after non-combat trauma. It isn't right for everyone, so we decide together, and we always prepare properly first.
How EMDR worksHow it works
15 minutes to ask questions and see if we're a good fit. No obligation.
We look at what's going on and agree what you'd like to work on.
Counselling, EMDR or both, at times that fit around your shifts.
We check how it's going and decide together what comes next.
Private, and separate from your employer
I'm an independent counsellor. I'm not part of your force or service, and I don't tell your employer or colleagues that you've been in touch.
The limits are few and I explain them at the start: serious risk of harm to you or someone else, and rare situations where the law requires it.

Hello, I'm Georgia
I'm a BACP Accredited counsellor and psychotherapist. I trained at the University of Sussex, I've practised since 2003, and I supervise other counsellors. I work online with people from the blue light and forces community.
I'm trained in EMDR (standard training, EMDR Europe-accredited, completed October 2026), and I offer counselling where EMDR isn't the right fit.
